Possible Fibromyalgia Diagnosis

No official diagnosis still but my doctor told me recently that I could have fibromyalgia, though she’s waiting to see if physical therapy helps me to consider it true or not I’ve also been told I’m hypermobile in certain areas, which is nice to finally know. My legs and back apparently It’s not really anywhere yet but I’m making progress on a diagnosis:)

physical therapy can still help people with fibro, what ?? i see a clinic that specifically does massage therapy and chiropracty and prescribe pt home exercises for it, and an occupational therapist who does "energy work" (somehow i feel like this is different than the "energy work" my pagan partner does but whatever it is it works). also saw a pt that helped me with balance/weakness and gave me exercises to help with numbness that i can only assume comes from fibro. but also, will say that that's about the same as what i got from my first rheum visit though, "hey you probably have fibro also your knees and elbows are hypermobile"... turns out i have more than that, have a hypermobility syndrome noted by a different rheum too ::p that's some pretty significant progress if you ask me. so congrats ::]

thanks! My mom thinks we both have ehlers or some kind of hypermobile disorder but I’m apparently not hypermobile enough (idk if that’s true or not, doctors can be difficult lol)

There are many things that go into EDS besides hypermobility or elastic skin. Just because you may not match other cases doesn't mean you don't have it. The chestlist for diagnosis has much more on it. Keep fighting for yourself and a diagnosis. It's sometimes disheartening, but you'll get there!
