Omg the salts and socks do like nothing for me 😭 as for ASD sensory issues, what types of sensory issues do you experience?

mainly paper but really anything dry. it has changed everything i do and i will literally bite my nail off if i touch it wrong. sound is also another big one and if i ask my family to stop making a certain noise they make it louder because its "funny"

I recommend ear plugs / headphones for sound stuff, and with paper I personally would just recommend avoiding it when possible, but if it isn't possible for you maybe gloves to mitigate the issue, or have a good sensory thing with you to touch after you have to touch smth uncomfortable

Yea the salts and socks are not enough I’m looking into mobility aids and saline infusion, for sensory issues: Visual: untinted sunglasses Auditory: noise canceling headphones and stimming, making noise over the noise helps, leave room or cover ears before loud noises if you can (like when someone will be vacuuming and or using a blender Touch: keep nice sensory touch items with you and use them when needed, also gloves Taste: mints always mints! Then safe food afterwards When one sense is affected sometimes all the senses can go into overload. If you can’t limit the affected sense enough, try limiting other senses as well (headphones while touching objects, sunglasses with loud noises) seems stupid but actually works sometimes Nothing works 100% tho
