I don't get this due to my POTS, but early on and during bad flares, my symptoms were enough to make me anxious - and that gave me stomach aches lol doesn't happen to much anymore but, tis possible (also I've heard lots of POTS patients have bowel issues comorbid, as well as just dysautonomia gut issues)

I do get a lot of anxiety so that's probably contributing for sure, it just feels like it's heightened when I get my POTS symptoms but it could be the added stress/anxiety of that, like you said! I'll have to keep track on it all and try and figure out the timings a bit better!

Sometimes POTS and IBS can be comorbid conditions so you might be developing IBS symptoms. I have both and I have noticed that my stomach gets more irritated when I am in hot environments or during a pots flare.

I've noticed that it definitely feels worse whilst having a POTS flare, but I wasn't aware of the conditions being comorbid until the replies here, so I'll have have to look into it more

Pots can cause problems with digestion, and it's also common to have other conditions with pots that cause stomach problems- like ibs or ibd

I definitely have only noticed it since I was diagnosed with POTS and it seems to occur within the same time frame as my POTS symptoms but I'm finding it hard to narrow down if that's causing it or just a timing coincidence. I'll just have to wait a bit and keep track of it, I think

My kidney function dropped 40% since the Pots started. Kidney stones started. And nausea due to lack of blood/oxygen. All 3 cause different forms and degrees of stomach pains. For me. I can test a number of things by seeing if it gets better or worse after sitting woth knees up for an hour or 2.

Oh wow, I'm sorry to hear that. That's a good idea to test that way though, I'm still trying to test the timing of my symptoms too so hopefully I'll have a better idea soon

try smaller meals. From what i read, digestion diverts blood flow for its function. And the bigger the meal, the more it steals. So, the worse the POTS symptoms will be until digestion has stopped.

If you find something on the reducing localized sporatic sweating, let me know. That and non-time related, short spans of overheating are easy to rectify after the fact, but i havent seen anything useful for minimizing the occurences. But yes, ill take inconvient over nausea any day. Nausea can too quivkly lead to vomiting and the imbalances that causes.

I have a lot of the gastro symptoms that people complain about with POTS along with a bunch of others. Sometimes saltiness help a bit

Yes. Especially when compounded with anything else. For me, a 2 hour dental crown caused huge aftereffects for a whole month (low spO2, very low heart rate at night were the most alarming, but also the nausea, inappropriate sweating and tachycardia, bowel issues, and even my first kidney stones. Then just recently, a very very minor surgery and allergic reacting to the 1 inch of surgical glue, caused painful rash, but also extreme chemo like nausea, very bloated abdomin, poor urination, and slow/stopped of intestines. I thought maybe got another kidney stone (regular thing now last 18 months), but all clearing as soon as glue removed.
