Propranolol making me feel worse?

Hi! Has anyone started propranolol or other beta blockers and felt absolutely worse?? it’s only been a few days but i’ve slept awfully and seemed to have more episodes. i’m wondering if this is normal and should go away or will it just get worse?

Can you help? Connect today

I haven’t taken propranolol but I do take metoprolol. When I first started it, didn’t kick in right away. Then it started to help me but it made me very sleepy yet I had trouble falling asleep. They just switched my dose to once a day in the morning and now I’m sleeping better. I also take melatonin at night to help with sleep

I’m on propranolol right now and it’s giving me side affects like exhaustion and blood sugar drops. This only started after I had been on it for a while though.

Yes. I tried Metoprolol months ago and had an adverse reaction after one dose so my doctor stopped it. Now I'm on Propranolol 5mg 3x a day. It's much more tolerable but I experience so many side effects. I take it for POTS, and when I stand I'm so much more dizzy than before. I'm also sleeping all the time, I can't feel hunger as much, and I have absolutely ridiculous dreams/nightmares. I'm hoping I'll adjust to it but it's a DOOZY thus far.

Yes, I was started on propranolol and it made me worse. I was forgetting huge chucks of things, doing weird things, passing out a lot more, couldn't remember anything etc......... I was changed to bisoprolol & all is well

Same here, get headaches like mad and the brain fog is so much worse. On 20mg twice daily
