Should we pursue a diagnosis?

We've been thinking about pursuing a diagnosis but we are unsure if that will have negative effects on jobs, medical help if/when needed, etc. So have been back and forth on if its a good idea or not. Also if like anyone would like more system friends we are open if interested.

If you have a therapist, I'd bring it up as an option, but sometimes it's better to leave very stigmatized disorders off the medical records. My therapist has me under "Unspecified anxiety disorder" although we've talked about my other conditions due to the nature of what career path I've chosen to head down. However, it mostly depends on what job you want. If it would be used against you if you're under a spotlight, probably not. But if it's not something that would be a disadvantage and matter for the long run and you want the official diagnosis, go for it.
