Need Quick Ways to Calm Down? Here are Some Tips!

does anyone have any surefire methods for calming down quickly when you get worked up or nervous, similar to how caffeine can give you more energy but in reverse? preferably something short acting like 10-20 minutes but also open to longer techniques for when I'm not in a time crunch and just need to relax for bed or to be able to study. I usually drink chai tea, which helps with headaches and sometimes calms me, but it also has caffeine, which ofc naturally excites you, and I have a heart condition where they're telling me to avoid it. I'm also not looking into drugs like cigarettes, but if there are any tame otc solutions, I might be open to them.

I usually try to find one 4 things I can see, and 3 things I can touch, and then close my eyes and find two things I can hear and one thing I can smell. it gets me focused on that and distracted from my anxiety. :)

my mom walked me through that when I called her after they left me at the house for a week by myself with 4 dogs and a ton of homework and I missed my morning meds, including for depression anxiety and heart, and it was like 3 or 4 oclock and I was having a meltdown. I think it helped, but I've never tried it like for a regular thing. It's hard to do meditation stuff with severe adhd lol

Indica weed. I hated this drug for a long time. Now it's the one thing that is saving me.

A good method is relaxing every single muscle in your body because psychologically the tension in your body can affect your anxiety levels
