Struggling to Quit Smoking Marijuana

I've been smoking marijuana since about 2020. It makes me horribly sick, a whole separate post! My problem is I try to quit, but the cravings are so powerful! Last time I was sick, it lasted 2 months. You would think that would be enough motivation. Apparently not! Am I an addict? Does it even count if it's weed??

It does count if its weed, there are withdrawal symptoms like weight loss, agitation, anger, ect but they are typically delayed enough it doesnt seem like it was bc of the THC. Going cold Turkey off any substance you've developed a physical dependency on is usually a shock to your system and if that isn't working it may be best to slowly wean yourself off using whatever method makes you the least sick instead. It may also help to speak with a professional with experience in addiction if possible.
