Random Muscle Spasms and Joint Dislocation

I've been having random muscle spasms that include repetitive motion and eventually my muscles locking up for anywhere from 5 minutes to an hour. Sometimes my muscles get so tight they will push my joints out of place. I have tried salt and electrolytes, staying hydrated, muscle relaxers, and heat but nothing seems to help. Does anyone know what this is and any way to get it to calm down?

I’m so sorry. I have not experienced anything like that! I have taken a medicine called Dicyclomine for abdominal muscle spasms and did notice that taking it after eating really helped me for a while!

I’ve found supplanting magnesium to help when my muscles get tight, when I don’t take it I have tightness on my whole left side from my pinched nerves that often ended in spasms and cramps . With the extra magnesium, even if I’m not taking my constant other electrolytes for my suspected POTS, it keeps the tightness way down to a more tolerable level. Just be careful which magnesium supplement you choose, some are laxatives. I take magnesium oxide.

I take magnesium glycinate and citrate for sleep, headaches, and just in general no side effects at all… haven’t really noticed any help though either but know it’s not hurting me
