Struggling to Find Understanding in Relationships

When it comes to relationships, do you ever find it hard to find someone who understands your limits and that you are actually truly sick and not lazy? No one has ever said it to me, but I feel like people look at me like I'm lazy, and don't understand that I'm sick. I'm only 24 and I think people look at me and expect me to be a lot healthier than I am.

Personally I experienced a lot of that when I was younger, but with time folks came to understand that I was going to be chronically ill so they needed to hop on board if they wanted to stay in my life. In terms of having the perception of others believing that and just healthily coping with the chronic health issues it can be helpful to work with a therapist who specializes in chronic illness 🙂
