Talk to your doctor about clonidine prn ... You probably already know, but the prn, stands for "as needed" ... This is the med of choice in lots of ER' s at hospitals to get the blood pressure down quickly! In addition to other b/p meds, I was on the .3 mg prn, which made me sleepy afterwards, it has dual effects. It gets the blood pressure down and is used to treat insomnia I discovered. This med was a must have for me, while battling the resistant b/p beast... A good doctor should be able to help with this, and per my experience, not all doctors are created equally when it comes to " resistant high blood pressure" ailments. Best wishes!
