Resting Tremors in Hand: Is it Parkinson's?

I have resting g tremors in my hand, have difficulty in other areas too. Doctors thought it might be Parkinson, but did a Dat scan and was normal. Is there anything besides Parkinson it could be?

I was told my tremors are a basic benign tremor. It runs in my family and other than making it a pain to write or tie my shoes, it's harmless. I hope that's what you're dealing with too rather than anything serious, but it is hard to say without your doctor running tests. I recommend you try to get a referral to a neurologist if you are able. A neurologist is who did tests and diagnosed me.

Hey there! So I have what is called an essential tremor, which apparently is genetic. My mom has them too. I know how annoying and embarrassing they can be so I’m here if you need to vent.

Get a referral to a movement disorder neurologist to get diagnosed or rule out a type of dystonia. Any other symptoms?

My neurologist was a movement disorder specialist. I just wasn't progressing fast enough for him.
