Sensitivity to Vibrations with Fibromyalgia

Just a quick question does anyone else with fibro have a sensitivity to vibrations, like it's painful to ride in a car for example. if not I am waiting to get tested for other nerve damage on top of my already diagnosed fibromyalgia.

Yes!! Though I can't tell if it's fibro that causes it or my autism. Either way, you're not alone. Using a lawnmower feels like my hands will be bloody afterward. Riding in a car makes me anywhere from nauseous from pain to full on body migraine if I'm already in pain.

it's nice to not be alone because I can't find anything on vibration sensitivity, just stuff on people feeling like they're vibrating themselves, I'm so sensitive it's painful when someone scoots a chair across the floor or walks to heavy footed through the house, it even bothers me when someone drives by with too much bass going, if it's rattling windows I can feel it and it's excruciating.

Yes! Totally. I am a barber and the hand I hold my clippers in gets so unbelievably sore from the vibration (on top of the typical fibro hand pain/soreness from working with my hands in general) Some days it’s unbearable. And when I’m having a flare up I’m also totally hypersensitive to any type of vibration, even a car with loud bass driving down my block outside or the tv being too loud.
