Dealing with Sensory Overload Around Family and Friends

I was wandering if anyone else has like a sensory overload? When I spend time around family or friends when I go home it’s like I still hear conversations from the night before it’s so strange and it’s too much, it’s constant x

Yes! I feel the same! Often it's too much when I get home I have to take myself to my bedroom and put my sleep mask on and lie in silence because it's too much. X you're not alone x

I am the same. It plays up with my anxiety/ depression/ ptsd. Time away from people sometimes is needed.

I have very similar issues. Even spending a few hours with several people has that effect. I thought I was alone in this... that it was a personal problem.

I can't attend big gatherings, too many people ( more than 5 including myself ) causes me to need to decompress as I get stressed and anxious and overwhelmed. I have to avoid going to places that are busy, it drains me for the rest of the day if I go anywhere with lots of people. :(
