How do I know if I have severe anxiety?

How do I know if I actually have severe anxiety or not? here are some problems that I have been dealing with. -I cant be in or around large groups of people. -I can't hold a conversation on the phone, let alone answer it if it's someone I don't know, especially if it's a phone interview for a job. -I struggle showing up to work (causing me to quit automatically) without thinking im going to mess something up or make someone upset. -I'm too much of a people pleaser and don't want to make anyone mad or else I get anxious. -I can't sleep at night without waking up feeling like I'm choking on something (been going on for years now) that's only a few things I have that's going on. I dont know where to go to/how to ask for help.

A psychiatrist might be best. Sounds like you might have some social anxiety as well. If you need someone to vent or just talk to, feel free to message me

Definitely anxiety, especially involving socializing. If it is affecting your daily life it is severe, so the fact that it is preventing you from keeping a job is concerning. Seeking out a professional is definitely the best way to go. But the last one about waking up choking is a little more odd and could be something else. Have you looked into sleep apnea?

Sounds like anxiety with a bit of agoraphobia. A psychiatrist is good if you want medication, but if you need to talk to someone you'll want a therapist. As someone who suffered for 30 plus years, I promise it gets better. ❤️

Social anxiety most definitely. Counselor or a therapist will definitely help.
