Dealing with Severe Hip Pain: Seeking Advice

I have severe hip pain. I limp all the time. My doctor has tried injections. This doesn’t help. He wants to try therapy. Has anyone had luck with therapy?

The only thing helped mine was replacement. Actually not a bad surgery.

That’s what I’m thinking I’m heading to worse. I’m just tired of this pain. I walk like a penguin. Thank you for responding.

I honestly love PT! It helps a lot. I have had great success with it. I only use a pillow top mattress too. I would wake up in horrible pain, like someone is pulling my leg out of socket. I will have to do a replacement at some point. First is my toes, fix those, then right knee, hip, back. Working my way up the body!

@Hershey11 I'm new here but I have the same problem as you. I believe physical therapy doesn't work.

I was only able to walk with a cane and after physical therapy and losing 20% of my weight I no longer need a cane or advil every day. It really helped to build the muscles in my legs to take the pressure off my knees.
