I do have planter fasciitis/heel pain and pain in both my shoulders. Has a doctor ever suggested to you what he/she thought could be causing this for you ?

I do. My rotator cuff muscles are very weak, esp on the back of my shoulder. I am been compensating with other muscles. My pecs are too tight, my shoulders are internally rotated, and all my tendons are very inflamed and angry. My GP (who is AMAZING) referred me to PT for 10 visits. The PT has uncovered all of the above stuff-and more. He works on the areas with a lacrosse ball! I am on week 6 of 10. I have seen some improvement-but getting those little muscles to fire correctly over several sets of exercises leads to muscle fatigue and soreness very quickly. I’m going to finish these visits and continue the exercises. Then I need to have my knee evaluated. (Getting old is not for the faint of heart.)

I never realized these things could be related! Over the years, I have had on-and-off shoulder pains but have always been able to explain it away somehow. It doesn’t help that I’m short (5’0) so I always assume it’s b/c I strained myself reaching for things, even if I have no recollection of this. Maybe I should talk to my dr about this and see what she recommends!

Yes! I’ve had to have shoulder surgery from a Labrador tear on the right and tendinitis on the left. The inflammation is sucking the life out of me. I’m gluten and now dairy free which has helped some.
