Hi! So I just got diagnosed with SIBO (small intestine bacterial overgrowth). I was wondering if any of y’all have that or have had that and how the process of getting rid of it was for you?

I was refused xifaxin by my insurance and had to take TMP antibiotics. I’ve also taken flagyll previously as this is the third item I’ve had it. Dr advised probiotics now I’ve finished antibiotics. Anyone else the same ?

I was diagnosed with SIBO about 2 years ago. I have done 2 rounds of Xifaxan and 1 round of natural antibiotics (candabactin). Natural antibiotics helped me the first time but not the second time. I needed Antibiotics. But I just finished a round and I still have symptoms. SIBO is tricky.

I did a round of rifaximin and neomycin together alongside a restrictive biphasic diet and I still relapsed. Now I’m about to try antimicrobials and more herbal methods as I don’t want to do antibiotics again 😥
