Struggling with Social Anxiety at Grad Parties

I have been to 2 grad parties, and I am terrible in those situations. I get quiet and just stick with my 4 year old nephew because I don't like huge gatherings, especially on my moms side.

I can understand the anxiety of crowds. Hanging out with the kids is just fine. I can't go to my mom's side family reunions, either. The reasons are a bit different, but the results are the same. Please don't feel alone.

Don't beat yourself up. I've spent most of my life finding the pets when I go to parties. It's easier for me in small groups, but sometimes I still get overwhelmed.

ok, the only one I would have felt comfortable petting there was my grandparents 5 lb poodle, but my mom or grandparents had her most of the time, I have a dog but she needs some obedience classes and mor human interaction than just my mom and dad and siblings, my brothers girlfriend myself and my grandparents.
