Sore Throat: Tonsillitis or Strep?

Last Friday I started to get a sore throat and has gotten worse since then. My throat is very red, I’m coughing on and off, sometimes mucus. It hurts and feels scratchy, and my voice is very hoarse. Is it tonsillitis or strep?

My experience with this is a couple of things. Like strep throat, tonsillitis and or tonsil stones, covid and Influenza B have been reaking havoc in my area. I'd definitely make a trip into urgent care or the ED. Especially if fever persists or you neck gets stiff as that can be mono. Definitely go get a work up cause you don't wanna mess with an infection if there is one.

Look at the back of your throat with a flashlight. If there is white it is likely strep or tonsil stones. Either way stay hydrated and maybe suck on a cough drop. If it doesn't get better go to a doctor.
