Starting Buspar for Anxiety: Any Tips?

I just started Buspar? I chose to deal with all of my mental health issues off of medication. It is working well, but I couldn’t get a grip on my anxiety!! So I’m on this now. So far it’s okay. Does anyone take it? How do you like it? Any weirdness?

Can you help? Connect today

I take it and the biggest side effect I had was dizziness which was only really bad for a few days when I started it and anytime my dose increased.

I take it. I really like it. I have some panic but only when I get super stressed out. I don’t regret the decision to take it at all. No weirdness for me personally.

It’s not my favorite but it is slightly beneficial so I stay on it. Anxiety meds don’t work well for me unfortunately so the fact that it makes a slight improvement is a win lol. Dizziness and high heart rate are the side effects I had in the beginning but I have a an existing condition that plays into that

I take it before bed so I don't feel the side effects. It works well for me because when I'm off it, I notice;

I take it twice a day. It helped me SO MUCH. It helped me start becoming consistent in housework, working out, and waking up on time.

I take it twice a day and it’s helped a ton! I just think of it as a booster for my antidepressant. I had side effects for about a week, but after that everything calmed down, which is pretty normal for me.

I was only on 30mg Buspar before my daughter died and when I went inpatient my drs elevated my dose. Now I have to take 15mg 3 times a day. I gradually let it get into it and I haven't noticed anything wrong. But the buspirone works like a charm Now and is helping me alot.

Has anyone ever drank 🍸alcohol while being on Buspirone? What dosage of Buspirone are you on, how much alcohol did you drink, and what happened?
