Questions about starting testosterone

what is something you wish you knew about testosterone before you started it? I'm starting it soon so I just want to be prepared for anything that my doctor won't tell me.

Can you help? Connect today

I couldnt cry for the first couple years I was on it. It was normally pretty easy to make me tear up, but then I couldn't even when I really wanted to. I've been on it for 6 years now though and I'm able to cry again, too easily sometimes I think 😂

oh I'm not able to cry much anyways so that probably won't change much except maybe make it even harder than it already is. Thank you! :3

Hi, I started it recently. So far a noticeably positive effect with just (point) .25 ML. No negative effects that I'm aware of. Also, I haven't seen, nor felt the need to ask to see, a Doctor. So far all has been handled by Physician Assistants. Mostly the current one that I've been seeing for over a year, she seems to have as well covered as anyone could.

Libido increase, bottom growth (it can hurt), you're gonna be stinkier and oiler which means more acne (acne everywhere), you're gonna be WAY hotter, like so much hotter, the hot flashes are wild bro. You might want to talk about going on a specific type of T that will help you not lose your hair or you might experience male pattern baldness and hair thinning. Your dysphoria might actually get WORSE. Jsyk. Pay attention to your medical history for men in your family, especially Cholesterol! You'll probably gain weight easier. Get ready for wild mood swings and being angry about everything. Like, all negative emotions will be replaced with anger haha. When that happens, tell your doc and they might lower your dose a lil C: That's all I can think of, good luck! Despite all of that, I have no regrets about 9mos in.
