Starting Zoloft - Looking for Advice

I'm just starting Zoloft tonight, How are everyone else's experience with it? I'm trying this because my other one wasn't working as well as it used to. Any advice?

it worked well for me personally I suggest taking it at night because it makes me drowsy

Honestly I would recommend taking Zoloft at night as well that way you won’t be so drowsy during the day but from my personal experience with it it’s worked pretty good

I took it at night for the first few weeks until I got adjusted, as it does originally make you drowsy. I now take it in the mornings with my breakfast since I typically forget to take pills in the evening.

Yes the sleepiness! I'm hoping the longer I'm on it the less sleepy I will be I'm currently on 100 mg from I think 50 🤔. I'm so sleepy right now I'm not sure if I'm thinking of the right med lol.

Some people have good and bad experiences. I'd go through it for at least 4-6 weeks to see if it's the right fit 💗 But I'd take it at night because it will make you feel tired and drowsy.

funny enough, i’m the total opposite of everyone here. zoloft makes me super jittery so i take it in the morning. when i first started taking it i was having a lil bit of tummy problems so i recommend taking it with food. im also at 150 mg and i’ve been taking it for two years. it’s going to be a lot of learning with you, your body, and psychiatrist. be patient! it wont start working right away. i didn’t notice a difference till i got to 100 mg and that was months into trying it. i hope it works out for you ♥️♥️

It worked for me for a while. Unfortunately my body gets used to medications very quickly so doses had to be upped sooner and then I had to be switched. But it really did help. I know it helps my best friend as well. She’s been on it for a little while now. I took it in the mornings but in the beginning it made me super sleepy so I took it at night. I do recommend taking it with food. Doesn’t have to be a meal just at least a good snack. I would have an apple and peanut butter with it. Just know that it does take time to work. Be patient, you got this

It work great for me! I recently had to stop taking it because it caused me to have a loss of appetite and would have dizzy spells

honestly, it didn’t really work for me. i kept having to increase the dosages and in the end it just didn’t work even with therapy. but all bodies are different, so what doesn’t work for some can work for others! if you want to see if its helping, i’d suggest to log how you’re feeling each day in your notes. i’d say to give it about 2 months! maybe 3 for good measure
