Looking for experiences with Strattera for ADHD

hello! i recently started strattera and wanted to know of peoples' experiences with it. i know it's a non stimulant so i'm hoping getting used to it will be gentle, but i'm just a bit anxious since i've never had ADHD medication. any experiences at all would help, thank you! :)

hi there! i’m on strattera and it’s the first ADHD med i have ever been on. i have not had any issues with it. i have a heart problem so when i first started it, it gave me some palpitations (more than usual) but since being on it for awhile now i don’t experience them anymore (besides the ones from my heart problem) other that i have had no side effects atleast not that i know of. and i do think it has helped quite a bit. since it’s not a stimulant it will never help ADHD quite as much as an actual stimulant would. but it is definitely still helpful and a good place to start in my opinion. hope this helps!

this does help, thank you! i recently increased my dosage from 40 to 60 mg so i am hoping to see improvement in executive dysfunction and mind racing but otherwise you're right, it's a very good start. you're also not the first person to tell me it won't help as much as a stimulant lol

I was not a fan of strattera only because it made me extremely heat intolerant and i’d get super dizzy when id take it. It was similar to a stimulant for me but not as effective and worse side effects but that's just me.
