Struggling to Sleep Due to Chronic Pain

i'm in pain all day but can ignore it mostly until I try to sleep. with nothing else to focus on, it keeps me up late into the night. I listen to an audio book or music or white noise, and I'm supposed to start taking melatonin again but it hasn't helped much in the past. I smoke weed sometimes before bed and that does help but I really don't like the way it affects my thought pattern, it makes my thoughts move very slowly and i dont want to rely on it. I try to stay out of my bed during the day (though this is hard) and try to stay off my phone an hour before I lay down (also hard). I'm just exhausted and would appreciate any thoughts on my situation
