Struggling to Take Ritalin Oral Tablets

My doctor recently put me on Ritalin oral tablets and although I take a lot of other medications three times daily, I struggle to take the Ritalin because he suggested taking it 30-45 minutes before eating a full meal whereas I usually time my medications with my meals. The Ritalin seems to be working for me better than my Adderall had been for focus and energy levels so I did a bit of digging and found there is a patch that you put on your skin each day that’s the same medication (methylphenidate) as Ritalin that I’m considering asking about. Has anyone had experience with it? It’s called Daytrana (name brand), I believe!

I'm a pharmacy tech and have taken ritalin. Ritalin can be taken with or without food. Sometimes it helps people's stomach to eat it with food. If you don't take food some people get stomach aches so that's probably why they said to eat before you take it and because it supresses appetite. I haven't had any people take Daytrana so I'm not sure about it but name brand meds can get pretty expensive. The manufacturer has a coupon card so you save some money on top of billing your insurance. After you get a script for it if you want to do that here is a link for it. https://www.daytrana.com/?gclid=Cj0KCQiAu62QBhC7ARIsALXijXSCx0a1tuZ4qqpOZR_jDo-r3CmyPiu-fsU_UBg07THEu6MY_S14h0kaAsXmEALw_wcB

The daytrana patch I use to use those worked super well for me but it dried the skin where I had the patch to the point it would crack and bleed
