It took me a little while to feel the effects of the adderall when I started it- it wasn’t instant. The same with each dosage increase. 10mg is a pretty low dosage so it’s definitely possible you need a high dose. However, it sounds like you’re struggling with what is sometimes called “adhd paralysis”. I’ve found that just the adderall alone really isn’t enough to stop my brain from being so overwhelmed it shuts down. Have you tried any other kind of adhd resources to help?

I have to take atleast 20mg for it to work somewhat. After I get done breastfeeding I will go back to 40mg. Honestly you may need a higher dose depending on the severity of what I assume is ADD/ADHD

I also recommend moving around right after and maybe drinking caffeine becausee when I do both of those things I feel like the medicine begins to work faster.

There are lots of apps & books you can look into. A good place to start is additudemag.com. It’s an online magazine for all things ADHD. They have a ton of articles on scheduling apps, stress reliever apps, apps that help you priories or compartmentalize, and extensions you can add to your web browser to help you throughout the day. I really enjoy KC Davis’ content (@strugglecare on Instagram). She has an amazing book and tons of great tips. She also makes Tik Toks thay are informative, but short enough to not be boring. If you have trouble with food/ preparing food, I recommend checking out @adhd.nutritionist on Instagram. For me, I had and continue to have to try lots of thinks before I find one that works for my brain. So don’t be discouraged if someone is raving about some app that changed their life and you can’t get into it. Everyone with ADHD is different, so take it one day at a time.
