Struggling with ADHD, Anxiety, and Depression: Seeking Alternatives

Hey there! I was recently diagnosed with ADHD, anxiety. ( possibly suspected ASD and Depression as well?) They put me on a few different medications such as dextroamphetamine and welbutrin but none seemed to help and only made me feel sick. I struggle with severe social and general anxiety alongside executive dysfunction. I was wondering what other alternatives I should try? A friend recommended I try medical marijuana but I wasn't sure if they would give me a medical card for my problems. Suggestions or general advice/positive words?

It’s probably not easy getting all those titles and trying to treat them all. Just here to say that making sure you get the best treatment takes time, and energy… but once you get the good combo that helps it's really worth all the trouble you went through… maybe consider trying psychotherapy along with all the medication changes so you feel better accompanied on your journey

Hi! first of all, it's good that you're sharing as you're going through such difficult times... Secondly, the drugs you tried tend to have some side effects in the beginning, but they get better after a while so I wouldn't stop immediately because of that. I think these drugs can help you much more than marijuana, in my opinion it's not a wonder drug like some people tend to believe. Feel good and keep us posted.

Be sure to let your provider know how your medication affects you and if you don't like the way it feels. Another thing to try could be Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. Keep in mind, too, that finding a counselor or therapist who is a good fit for you can also be a process. Wishing you well. 💗
