Struggling with Diabetes and PCOS: Looking for Support

Hi! I’m new here. I’m type 2 diabetic (stemming from PCOS) I was diagnosed with PCOS in 2015 and diabetes in 2018. For about the last 6 months or so I’ve been falling really behind on taking care of myself (not taking meds and such) and I guess I’m just looking for support and community. It gets extremely tiring at times having to stay up with the rituals just to keep myself alive. I also have depression, which makes it even harder. But I’m definitely seeing a shift in my general wellness (not in the right direction) and I feel like something has to change for me. How do y’all get through it? I don’t really have a solid direction for this conversation to go, I just think I need to talk to more people like me.

Hi! I totally understand where you're coming from. I was in denial for years about the diabetes. I have been pre-diabetic on and off for years but once I had my two kids it was a wrap. I was still in denial after being diagnosed in Oct. Of last year. Until finally the end of Dec. I started to get serious and changed my mindset. I try to work out every day for at least 30 minutes and I walk. I am still working on the eating. Although I don't eat neverly as bad as I did before, I still have my moments were I do treat myself. Don't be so hard on yourself this is definitely a process. One day you will find what works for you and stick to it.

We’re a lot alike ❤️ I have Pcos and severe depression, the fatigue is one of the worst parts. Sometimes having a friend with similar circumstances can help to keep me on track
