Struggling with Focus and Attention: Seeking Help for Possible ADD

I'm not diagnosed, but my dad has ADD and I have pretty significant issues with focus and attention, especially since going to college. I'm not sure how to go about getting help for this. I have a therapist, should I bring this up with her?

Hey! Had a similar experience too - absolutely bring this up. Finally getting a diagnosis was super helpful for me in general but helped with my focus problems in general too. Went from spacing out 10x per lecture on average to 2-0 times. I’m so grateful for it

I would bring it up. I sought out getting the official diagnosis through an Autism and ADHD clinic. The testing was intense. Thankfully, they also have therapists that are specialized in Neurodiversity and it helped immensely.
