Struggling with a Possible Autism Diagnosis

Hi, I have recently discovered that I have quite a few symptoms for autism and I’m not exactly sure what to do? My grandpa has Asperger’s and I heard it’s genetic? If I do actually have autism and it’s not just my adhd or anxiety then I really don’t have anyone to support me. My mother is super conservative and she has a personality disorder (I think, my brother mentioned it but it’s supposed to be a secret?) so she kinda does some interesting things like get really into these theory’s and stuff and one of them is that autism is only because of vaccines and radiation and doctors poisoning us or something so if I talk to her about that then she will for sure get mad at me. Lately I have been stimming a lot ( repetitive or “unusual”movements or noises that happen in overwhelming situations - by googles definition) the stimming hasn’t really been getting in the way but other things are. I am a really picky eater, I’m talking like I hardly eat anything sometimes because of it. It’s been really getting In the way. I’ve gotten into fights with my parents because I won’t eat meals if I “can’t” eat the food options I am given. I hate it so much. I also have other symptoms but they aren’t as severe. Anyway I don’t know if I actually do have autism, it is just a speculation but idk how to cope.

i think weather you have autism or not you need to accept the things you are feeling and accommodate yourself, allow yourself to stim if you need too, keep some safe foods in your bedroom incase the dinner isn’t something you can eat. i went though my whole diagnosis process without telling me parents so it is possible but it’s not necessary unless you feel like you need it. you can accommodate yourself without a formal diagnosis! another thing i will say is that neurodivergent people have lots of cross over behaviour. so some behaviour that you see with people who have anxiety and adhd can cross over with the diagnostic criteria of autism. if you ever want someone to talk to please reach out your more then welcome to drop me a message. ❤️
