Looking for Successful Mental Health Treatments

What treatments have you guys found success with? I’ve tried SSRIs, therapy, and birth control and none have helped. Also, which doctor did you go to for your successful treatment?

I found completely stopping my cycle has helped with pmdd. Now that my bipolar is situated it stands out even more that I’m off my implants

I have to agree, that whenever my cycle is totally stopped it’s the best for me, but inevitably whatever treatment I’ve chosen it’s come back. What way do you stop your cycle if you don’t mind me asking?

I’ve had a lot of success with the Kyleena IUD! I know IUDs definitely don’t work for everyone with PMDD but for a couple years I almost forgot that I had PMDD because my periods were much more infrequent and my mental symptoms weren’t nearly as intense, and also didn’t come before every period. I can tell though that my IUD is nearing the end of its lifespan because for the past few months I’ve been experiencing the same cyclical hell at full force that I know well from years prior. But, even though I feel like my IUD is wearing out though I fortunately only experience symptoms for a few days rather than a whole week-2 weeks like I used to. One downside to an IUD vs oral birth control though for PMDD is that because it can make your periods irregular, it can be much harder to plan around when your symptoms will show up if you still experience them to some degree once on some form of BC.
