Switching Medications for Anxiety

I'm currently using Zoloft to treat my depression and anxiety, should I be using a different medication to just treat anxiety?

Can you help? Connect today

I’m on cymbalta for CRPS but it also treats my depression and anxiety. I have Lorazepam for really bad days.

does the lorazepam work well? I've heard it's got some nasty side effects

If Zoloft isn’t enough to manage your anxiety, then it’s something to ask about.

I use zoloft and buspirone as well as another med to manage my anxiety because mine gets very bad some days. Is that all you've tried? Some medications aren't meant for anxiety but help with it!

I have a heart condition that makes me extremely sensitive to certain meds so when I reacted well to Zoloft my doctor decided to stick with it

I have been taken Sertaline. It helps calm me down.

I also take hydroxizine since zoloft (from what I've been told) had a 'heightened anxiety' side effect. It usually keeps me calm ^^

I have taken Sertraline before. If it feels like you’re having more anxiety than usual, keep an eye on it. If it’s been a week or so with no improvement, call your doctor. It’s better to know about reactions than trying to see if it’ll work itself out.

Zoloft is known to help in some ways but my best advice for you is train yourself focus on things you love things you enjoy train yourself to push yourself forward I deal with high levels of anxiety throughout each week for each passing day do I fail at a lot of things yes is it cuz my anxiety yes but I don't allow myself to stop anxiety is in control of you as long as you allow it to be I feel medications aren't a cure they are just a temporary fix I understand people are different but the end of the day if you don't fight your anxiety and you don't try to take your life back it will rule over you and nobody needs to allow it to rule depression is another story I deal with depression by doing my favorite hobbies going out and surrounding myself around people and then when it gets to the point where I just can't do it I'll cry I'll talk to God and then I'll go to sleep and I'll wake up in aisle till myself you needed that and then I just keep on moving I hope this information helps you.

I got Zoloft and Pro 420 momma here for my mood disorder. It mostly helps me cope with my day.
