I don't take PPIs after reading all the cancer they cause. Go with ginger, honey is just sugar that's going to create an acidic environment in your gut. You don't want that if youre treating GERD...

Yes, it's possible but let your doctor that you are very interested removing medications from your repertoire. Let them know you are more interested in natural remedies over medications. Your doctor should be able to help and if he can't put willing ask if any of their colleagues are. Told my doc and I'm using some natural remedies.

+1 to this. The unfortunate reality is that most doctors are still going to push contemporary Medicine because that's their job. Depending on where you live, I'm in Nebraska myself, you may get looked at very sideways once you mention the word "holistic" or "natural" and basically get cast aside from being treated with respect. Unfortunately, the clinics you're probably honestly looking for that would best suit you are going to be the osteopaths, the naturopaths, and those are the ones which basically no insurance will provide coverage for. So it just comes down to prioritizing if the capital is worth the result of its expenditure to you. 🙏

yeah personally I stay stay from people who claim something works especially if that so-called remedy proves to exacerbate the problem like "Coca-Cola being a cure for diabetes" but things that are backed by science which isn't hard to prove that a remedy works. I haven't found any NMDs around where but because of Dr Mike I have seen name DOs pop up and many DOs would use the initials MD because of stigma because NMDs and DOs are MDs at their core and they do the same training as any other doctor has I've also found that they are less arrogant (I know it's anecdotal) and have a better BSM that regular MDs but I've also found this true for specialists as well with the exception of cardiologists and neurologists.

I can’t get off meds right now because only major relief I had. Had severe symptoms of El feeling of dying for hours after eating certain foods. I tried probiotics, but still getting symptoms. I want to get off the meds, but just scared what the outcome would be and I doubt want those severe episodes happening. Again.
