Syncope and Anxiety: Trouble Sleeping Alone

so I had a syncope last November and ever since I had it, I've developed IBS, anixety/panic issues. now I'm not to sure if it's linked in anyway, but okay so I got the panic/anixety managed throughout the days, but when night comes and I try to fall asleep, I get pickly feeling on my face and get hot, and feels like I'm spinning and I can't fall asleep because of it. but when my husband is home and sleeps with me it doesn't happen. it only happens when I sleep alone. has anyone experienced something like this? I've told my doctors but they don't take what I say seriously it seems.

Sounds like anxiety or panic attack. Hope you can find a doc that listens to you, they may be able to help. Also, counseling with a therapist may be helpful too. Went through something similar and therapy helped me the most

Do you know what your blood pressure runs? Do you get lightheaded if you stand too quickly or too long? Look into POTS since you have a history of syncope. Something that may be happening is that we tend to sleep differently with our partners, more securely. You may be sleeping more lightly without your partner and having more awareness of those episodes because of it. Just my armchair dx there.

before I had that syncope episode, every single day Everytime I got up my vision went black with lightheadedness, then after I had it, it stopped but it's been recently happening again and I'm wondering if it's syncope starting again, ive wore heart monitor 6 times now and they diagnosed me with super ventricular tachycardia with hypertensive blood pressure, and now I just found out I have hypothyroidism, maybe it's all related I'm not sure, but I think I'll mention POTS to my doctor next time I see him,

thirding that it could be pots. i've heard others talking about that experience recently. personally i just don't sleep when i'm not next to my partner ::V not intentionally, but generally the only reason they're not next to me is that i'm somewhere else like the hospital, where i absolutely cannot fall asleep. thanks insomnia. so i'm not much personal help, but i agree that you should look into pots symptoms

I had POTS syndrome too. I ended up having to get a pacemaker. I was passing out 5 to 6 times a day. I found out that my heart rate was in the 30s. I think it’s a good idea for you to check into POTS too.
