Hey hey! I’m at T1D too! It’s been the fight of my life & I’m the only one on both sides of my family & circle of friends who deals with this shit! Although they are all supportive, It’s nice to be able to connect with people who are going thru the same thing!

Yes I’m Type 1 as well. This is a sigh of relief for me because I have family members on both sides that deal with diabetes but I feel like sometimes they still don’t understand what I deal with. On here, I can really be myself and look at other people’s experience and relate to them.

I was diagnosed in December of 2017, when I was 29. That day was the weirdest/worst day . My dietician called me just as I was going back to work from my lunch & she said, “The tests came back & it’s Type 1. Things are going to get worse.” I never understood why she said that last part. Not encouraging at all & it’s always stuck with me.

With my doctors and few specialists I’ve seen, I’m learning more and more that being the only one with T1D is quite common.

I have LADA. I'm afraid I will give up.
