Talking About Doctor's Appointments: Do You Need To?

Do you ever feel like you need to talk to someone about your doctors appointments? I always feel like I need to update someone on what is happening because explaining helps me think it through but my husband doesn’t talk much and I have a shaky relationship with my mom, the only two people who I could possibly update on my health. But is this normal? Does anybody else feel like they can’t fully process an appointment if they don’t talk through it with someone? How do you handle that?
