TENS Unit for Chronic Pain: Does it Work?

Have any of you chronic pain babes ever used a TENS unit and did it help? I’ll try anything if it might help but I’m a little spooked about electrocuting myself and they’re kind of expensive.

Can you help? Connect today

I love my tens unit. You can find some cheaper ones on Amazon with good reviews. You also don’t have to worry about electrocution because the electrodes you put on you, keep that from happening. It only contracts the muscles and uses the nerves to send waves to the brain to stop pain receptors.

YES get a TENS unit and couple it with ice or heat, whichever feels more comfortable for you. It doesn't feel like a shock, it just feels like a nice little vibration that sorta numbs your nerves the way your skin goes numb if you leave it under running water in the shower or smth. It's even helpful in places where I have no surface sensation but I do have pain in the muscles that are on my bones (although it's hard to get the placement correct in hard to see places that are completely lacking any sensation lol)
