Considering Therapy for Bipolar Disorder

I'm trying to decide whether I should go to therapy or not. What have been your experiences with therapists that specialize in bipolar disorder? Have they been helpful?

I have a therapist I have worked with for quite some time and it has been very helpful. She uses DBT methods, which I find useful since I get stuck in my own head a lot. If you find someone you can trust ( and don't be afraid to vet a few people if necessary) it can be a safe space to work out how you are feeling and come up with coping mechanisms.

My therapist is extremely helpful, and I do recommend seeing one, but they’re not all good. I have met some horrible therapists, but they are a small minority, so if you don’t like your therapist don’t be afraid to look for a better one.
