Successfully Treating TMJ with Natural Herbs or Medicines?

Has anyone been successful in treating their tmj with natural herb or medicines? I use cannabis and have a card and that has worked amazingly well but if it rains sometimes the TMJ still is there.

Cannabis isn’t legal wear I live, but we have delta 8. Smoking actually makes my tmj worse, I think I grit my teeth more. My chiropractor uses this clicker device that helps.

Really it makes it worse? Probably depends on the person cause it’s been so effective with me. I don’t hardly ever smoke it I use a dry herb vape I have a mighty vape and a firefly 2 vape I use. I also use delta 8 but am not sure if it helps anywhere near as good as the vapes do. I’m in Jersey so it’s legal here but I had a medical card a year before it was legal. Wearing a mask has been awful for my tmj though

Wearing a mask shouldn't have anything to do with it if a little piece of elastic sits on the back side of your conch AKA your cartilage. Your imagination is too strong. Smoking weed won't do anything for TMJ, you have a musculature and connective tissue issue, not a mental issue.

The reason people's joints hurt when it rains is because the barometric pressure changes, thusly affecting the pockets of air created within the fluids between your bones. If you think you don't have TMJ when it's not raining then something is definitely in your head.

There was a clove essential oil blend that I used a while ago that helped a bit with pain .

I should rephrase that: it will obviously help your *symptoms* such a pain, but it won't actually help your underlying condition. 🙏

Cannabis definitely makes it worse for me too, but ultimately I think it depends on the causes of your TMJ. For me it's jaw clenching due to anxiety, and that can get worse (for me) from cannabis.
