Every doctor I went to before my specialist told me those exact phrases before I was diagnosed with Ehlers Danlos Syndrome but yeah I consistently call myself a grandma at age 20 because me and my own grandmother have similar life experiences involving pain

Absolutely… I’m 20 and I’ve already had cancer twice which has cause so many issues that don’t even occur till after your 60s. I have a hip replacement and I have osteopenia (pre-osteoporosis) among many others conditions.

Yeah. I’ve had my knee pain since I was 12 and people thought that I was crazy or exaggerating or the ever elusive “growing pains”. And they still haven’t found anything “wrong” with me

Age has nothing to do with pain. I have had it my whole life. I was called a hypochondriac all the time.

I don’t feel like I am too young, except for the fairness aspect of it. However I am told and treated like I’m too young for my conditions and it majorly affects the treatment I receive.
