It helps me sleep for 8 hrs but does not knock me out. I don’t feel overly groggy in the morning and I still get up and deal with scary dreams for my kiddo with no issue. I’m able to get back to sleep easier.

It made me sleep very heavy( it might of been a strong dose for me)but I had to get off of it because I almost got into an accident because it made me feel like a zombie.

I used trazadone for several years. At first, It knocked me out, kept me asleep at least 8 hours, but I'd be super drowsy and have a hard time getting up. The knock out effect wasn't as dramatic or unpleasant as other sleep aids. Over time, I had to keep increasing the dose to get that 8hrs, and was still terribly drowsy no matter how well I slept.
