I have trouble all the time with my voice, it’s either my vocal cords or my essential tremors. I tell people I have chronic laryngitis. I try to speak louder 🤔

Very frustrating at times. The thing that helped me the most was realizing I can’t talk as much as I’d like and to be patient with my voice when the quality is out of my control.

it most definitely is out of our control. When people can’t hear me sometimes I just take a deep breath and don’t repeat, repeating just becomes more stressful. I have added allergies to the mix, go figure increases all the voice . Stay positive is the best I can be .

At night I'll drink "Yogi Sweet Clementine Stress Support tea". IT helps relax my throat.

My voice gets so like distorted I guess is how I'll put it and I can't speak up more than a whisper, but it's awful, a lot of the times I eat a spoon of honey with water and try to breathe to help it more, or I just reduce the amount of words I use as much as possible

This happens to me often. Sorry you’re dealing with this too. It’s really frustrating for me and those around me. I also can’t hear all that well so I do understand the frustration of not being able to make out what is being said from the other side too. I try to work around it- avoid places or restaurants that are loud, sit outside instead of inside when talking with ppl or eating together, wear chorded headphones while talking on the phone for long conversations, really difficult or emotional conversations I usually write a letter or txt so I can actually get everything out without my voice uncontrollably shaking and then throat closing up… I think the most helpful is talking to people about it when it’s not too bad so they understand (preferably before it happens) and doesn’t end up causing so much miscommunication and disconnection. I also feel better saying in the moment I’m not up for talking or it hurts to talk right now and they get it and either give me my space or let me listen without really responding much versus me trying to scrape by and explain it in the middle of an episode.
