Trying to Conceive with Endo: Any Advice?

Any words of wisdom on trying to conceive with endo? I know that it’s possible that my endo could be affecting my fertility, but I also know that it may not be and I may be able to conceive naturally. My doctor suggested giving it about 4-6 months trying naturally because I am also about to turn 35. Of course, I’m having to be off the pill which has exacerbated my pain. It’s so hard to know what is the “right” plan or “best” path to take when trying to conceive with endo and dealing with pain!

I have endometriosis and managed to conceive naturally even after being told by my doctor that it would likely be impossible. I read Taking Charge of Your Fertility before we started trying and I followed the book's advice of tracking my cycles and temping using a BBT. I tracked cycles and temperatures for about 6 months while still on birth control pills. My first month off the pill was our first month trying. We didn't conceive that first month and the doctor's words weighed heavily on us. I pushed through and kept charting my temperature using ovulation test strips to time things just right and that second month we were very surprised to find out that our attempt was successful. Our little miracle is 10 years old now.

Wow! I love this story! Thank you so much for sharing. ❤️ I’ve been tracking my cycle and using ovulation tests for a handful of months now, which has been very helpful. We tried for the first time this past month and no success…got my period. We continue to remain hopeful though - it can take many months and we are prepared for that! I too had a doctor tell me, with a very unhopeful look on her face, that I would likely need fertility support of some kind. We know that IVF or something like that could be in our future, but we also believe that anything is possible! ✨❤️
