Hashimotos is an autoimmune disorder which causes the body to attack the thyroid. Many people with hypothyroidism have Hashimotos as well. I think the only way to know for sure would be to have your antibody levels tested.

The only way to find out is to have an antibodies test done. You could have hypo or hyperthyroidism and not have Hashimoto’s. Have you been diagnosed with hypothyroidism?
