Understanding Splitting in Mental Health

what does splitting mean and feel like?

So splitting is basically seeing black and white no grey area. So example is for me my husband and I are trying to move and he was all for it and then one day he wasn't and he wasn't clear why he just was like nope well my day ended up feeling like it crashed and burned. My one relative who I'm close to snapped me out. I was only seeing it in black and white, he's never moved a big jump before and he would be leaving his family.

Oh I understand now, I appreciate the example and now I can be mindful in my life to make sure I'm more aware I'm doing it

it's hard sometimes and I think everyone does it regardless on mental health we all wanna see it one way tunnel vision if you will it sucks but if we're aware we can potentially fix it if we can.

I do too at times and it's hard because I ALWAYS explain my reasoning behind my answers but no one else seems to in my life and then I try not to but end up taking it personal
