Unexpected Results from Taking Lexapro

I started Lexapro a little over a week ago, and it's almost like it started working better and faster than expected - I feel like I should be happy but it's a little unexpected?

I started taking it but it made me feel way too high. So I started taking it when ik the next day I would have to be around a lot of people or felt like on a verge of a melt down. But it is a good thing to take

yeah I get that - I'm just trying to see how it goes for the next few weeks and work out where to go from there

I have been taking it for a week and a half now, and I know it can take a couple of weeks, but it did make me feel calmer... however I believe it has been what was giving me a constant headache. I skipped my dose last night, and no headache yet...

it def took me a little bit to adjust, for me it was all over achy and nauseous for the first week or so. I hope your side effects fade soon!

It's not supposed to make you feel "happy", it just helps your brain balance itself out completely. You could still get depressed or angry, but it will feel more natural. The med kicks in sooner for some than others, or vice versa

I'm on day 8, and overall, I feel great. I feel more calm, less irritable, happier, and more pep. I do occasionally get dizzy, kind of zoned out here and there, and I am tired throughout the day, but not exhausted (thankfully). My fingers are crossed 🤞 that the good continues.
