Unexplainable Swings in TSH Levels

Has anyone else experienced extreme unexplainable swings in your TSH levels? mine went from less than 1 in July to 28 in September. The only change in medication was I went back on birth control and was treated for an ulcer.

Was the birth control prescribed by the same doctor/do they know about it? I'm not positive but I do think that could affect it. Birth control is hormones.

No, the birth control wasn't prescribed by the same doctor. But yes, she knew about it and they knew going back on it would raise my TSH. That's why she didn't adjust my thyroid meds, in July, despite the low levels. She thought the change would bring it back to normal. She can't explain why my TSH changed as much as it did.

I’ve always have had crazy changes, some of it is just my thryiod being odd, but once I was on a supplement, I think it was magnesium. It got my levels up un the 70s

I found my was managed better by a cholesterol consultant. Since being discharged my levels have been all over the place.
