Looking for insight on Wellbutrin for Bipolar Depression

Hey there peeps, My Type 1 Bipolar has swung from crazy mania to a pretty hard depression. I meet with my psychiatrist in a few days, but I saw my regular physician a week ago. She said Wellbutrin may help this depression thats upon me. Do any of you have experience with Wellbutrin? Wondering about benefits and side effects from personal experience. Any insight would help. TYIA!

It was horrible for me. I was walking around in a daze for months. It really messed with my head, like psychosis level bad when I took a Tetracycline.

I've been on wellbutrin for a little over a month now, it does seem to help with my depressive episodes, but I also believe it's to blame for my short term memory issues. I'll be in a conversation and randomly forget what we were talking about.

I’ve been on Wellbutrin for a little over a month and I will say that it definitely helped my depression. I haven’t noticed or had any side effects from it!

In my personal experience welbutrin made my manic episodes more frequent and more severe.

I took Wellbutrin a few years ago and it was a bit of a rollercoaster. The first few weeks that I took it, I woke up several times a night, but woke up early naturally every morning feeling well rested. However, I understand the comment about feeling like you’re in a daze; I kept telling my friends I felt high. It did help my symptoms with depression.

Personally welbutrin didn't do a thing to me. I was on it for over half a year and when I stopped taking it I couldn't ever tell a difference
