Worsening Tics: Could it be Tourettes?

okay, so I've had tics for years now, however, I'm 18 now and I think they're getting worse? I've never really pursued or even wanted to ask about tourettes but as mentioned before. they've gotten worse. before it was the seldom squeak-like sound and some neck jerking. now I've hit myself in the face and make some jerky movements as well as some other things. I'm planning on doing some research today but I'm nervous. could it be something else?

It could just be a tic disorder, I have a tic disorder but not tourettes, it started out as just little anxiety tics but now it is full body movements actual words instead of random sounds, stuff like that. I talked to my psychiatrist about it and he said it was just a tic disorder brought on my my various other mental diagnosis, idk best thing to do is just bring it up to a professional and get their opinion on it🤷🏼‍♀️
