Neurosis is a mental disorder that causes distress and deficit in functioning which is characterized by anxiety, depression, unhappiness or distress that are not in line with the person’s life. People who suffer from neurosis do not, usually, suffer from an impaired sense of reality. In 1980, the third publication of the American Psychiatric Association's Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM-III) removed the term neurosis. Neurotic behaviour is seen in disorders such as obsessive- compulsive, somatoform, anxiety, depression and post-traumatic stress disorder. Neurotic thoughts and behaviors by definition are so extreme that they interfere with your personal, professional, and romantic lives.

Anyone have severe health anxiety and **hypochondria**!? So for the last couple months my anxiety has been so out of control! I've had every type of cancer according to my anxiety! Just had a big scare with cervical cancer, Dr found a growth on my cervix. Test came back yesterday and it was fine! Just a polyp. But now he wants to cut a growth on my chest off because he's concerned it's skin cancer! I have like 3 of those growths so I'm freaking out! I have post nasal drip and it makes my voice hoarse, every single day! Only drinking water helps and it don't last long. So I've convinced myself it must be like thyroid, vocal, sinus or lung cancer! I also go next week for a fibroscan! To see how much damage I have. I kno I have some damage because of blood tests and ultrasound, but I'm so scared I'm going to have cirrhosis or worse! There is so many things going on with me right now and idk how to handle it! I have severe stomach issues because of all this stress! And headaches, dizziness at times, wobbly shaky legs, pins and needles in my feet and hands, heart racing and palpitations, pain in my legs, sides and stomach! It's so bad I can't go out and do anything I use to like to do! I think I have agoraphobia now! I never wanna leave my house! I feel so bad for my husband and kids! Having to put up with me. I wish they could do one magical test that showed if u had any kind of cancer! Or other health issues! So I could just go ahead and kno what I have and get it over with! Sorry for the long post! But I'm going crazy! So scared. 😔
Seizures and Dissociation: Seeking Explanations and Solutions
Based on the posts, many people with dietary restrictions due to health conditions such as celiac disease or food allergies share similar feelings of **sadness** and frustration. They miss being able to eat at their favorite restaurants or enjoy certain foods without getting sick. Some even express feeling isolated or depressed because of their dietary limitations.
Some people react to feeling like they are not being understood by trying to explain their conditions in specific and tactile words, seeking counseling, or even cutting off communication with those who do not understand. Others may **feel hurt**, misunderstood, or annoyed. Some also express feelings of isolation or fear of being perceived as annoying.
Based on the context provided, there is no specific answer available. However, it's important to remember that everyone has value and can contribute positively to others' lives. It may be beneficial to seek professional help if **feelings of negativity** and isolation persist.
This could be a form of paranoia or anxiety, especially since it's affecting your sleep and only occurs when you're alone at night. It's common for people with anxiety to feel like they're being watched or that **something is going to attack them**. However, it's important to speak with a mental health professional to get a proper diagnosis and treatment.
